Over to Europe

A year or so back I started to play Irish Tin Whistles, so it was inevitable that I'd compose some music featuring the instrument. The first three tracks written were all instrumental - 'Arise', 'German Girl' and 'Up Above the World.'

Being aware of some of the social and political issues facing a number of countries in Europe, the lyrics for the title track 'Europe' emerged, thus becoming the album's name.

The other two 'vocal' tracks are 'Cathedrals' and 'Rhyme Tyme.' The first is about someone being led through a cathedral by a Bishop, and the latter is the 'comedy' piece for the album.
